Melita has a wide repertoire of Jewish songs and melodies, ranging from conservative/traditional to Jewish Renewal to camp songs. She has helped to lead many kids through this important threshold and truly loves being involved in helping to create a beautiful ceremony for this special rite of passage.
“Melita has such beautiful and soulful sound that I knew I wanted to ask her to support my daughter Ilana with her music, for her bat mitzvah service. What ended up happening was beyond what we could have hoped for: she joined with our spiritual leader and our musician to play songs that were incredibly moving to us and our community. Our daughter Ilana was very nervous, and I am certain that the talent and presence of Melita was an important part of Ilana feeling safe and able to shine and enjoy her own service. We thank her and highly recommend her!”-Joanna B
“Melita made our daughter’s bat mitzvah incredibly special. We loved her beautiful voice and guitar playing during our service. She was also a joy to work with. I would highly recommend her as a musical addition to any event.”- Shea Rosen
